About this listen

In six days, everything changes.

After slaying a Lord-class monster, Jordan earns massive rewards—and paints a target on his back. The System responds with a global countdown: in six days, the entire world levels up. Every monster, every faction, every alien species gets stronger.

Jordan doesn’t have time to celebrate. His kingdom is small, his army still growing, and his enemies are advancing fast. Ruthless alien factions are expanding their territory. Hidden species make their move. And forces watching from beyond the planet are ready to interfere.

The clock is ticking. Jordan must push his class, his summons, and his drone army to the limit to survive what comes next. But nothing—nothing—can prepare them for what the countdown really means.

Because the System isn’t done testing them.

And it’s about to raise the difficulty. Again.

this audiobook stretched for maybe 9 hours. if we're being generous of those 9 hours, nearly six of them was wasted on so-called experimentation on skills which could have just been boiled down to one and a half if you desperately wanted. instead, only about a third of the book was actual story making. wild story itself may have some interesting places to go. I hope the next book doesn't waste 6 hours procrastinating.

Wasting too much time on needless 'thinking'.

I very much enjoy the premise of the story; however, I found that the pacing suffers because each decision takes too long to resolve. This results in slow overall progression, and the main character repeatedly forgetting to upgrade skills in time leads to more challenging encounters than necessary.

Although the story is presented as taking around ten hours to complete, approximately 11% of that time consists of credits and a preview of another book, leaving only about 8 hours and 51 minutes of actual story content. Additionally, at least 25% of the narrative is spent discussing which skills to choose, which further slows the momentum. Notably, at the cliffhanger ending, the protagonist suddenly makes decisions without the same detailed deliberation, creating an inconsistency in pacing and presentation that makes it feel as though a chapter is missing.

Short not allot of story progression
