Summary

This book revolves around the life of renowned Indian Urdu poet and lyricist of films in Hindi, Majrooh Sultanpuri. This book describes his life and career as an Urdu poet, lyricist, and songwriter in the Hindi film industry. He has written lyrics for a number of Hindi–Urdu soundtracks. He was one of the most dominant figures in Indian Urdu poetry and is still considered to be one of the finest avant-garde poets of 20th-century Urdu literature. He has also received many awards throughout his life, and a few of his literary works are given in a separate section of the book, written in devanagari.
