About this listen
This isn't a game. This is his new life.
An epic LitRPG adventure about a family trapped in a game-world called Eloria with no way out.
Dave has been wandering through life for a long time. His day job bores him, and he never seems to be able to meet his family's expectations. The only escape he's ever had is his love of MMORPGs.
But when he becomes the subject of a test without even knowing it, he's transported into a game-world called Eloria with no escape. It's a frequent daydream of his; however, in none of those dreams did his wife and daughter ever accompany him.
Now, Dave must balance protecting his family with exploring his dream...oh, and trying to stay alive. Monstrous beasts roam Eloria; worst of all, an undead army led by the vile Death Knight.
He'll have to adapt fast and learn to cooperate if he hopes to make a new home for his family. And just maybe, along the way, he'll find out why they're living a life in exile.
Experience the first three books in a LitRPG saga perfect for fans of C.M Carney, Blaise Corvin, and Charles Dean.
Narrated by Peter Berkrot (Alpha World, Earth Force). More than 50 hours.

Warning, light spoilers below.
What i can't stand is how the wife is "Emotions over logic, motherly and caring, what is this gaming stuff", and uncompromisingly stick to these aspects in a flat any unrealistic way - she's 39 not 79. She's also very obviously written by a man in the way she admires her own body.
The husband is "The nerdy, goofy, protective father figure who in his thoughts describes all women as pretty/synonymous word + haircolour. He also forgets about the fact that his 8 y/o daughter is missing about 5 minutes after the fact due to some cool gamey new discovery. As if we men are completely unable to be traumatized by losing a child?
The rest of the characters are basically written as 2D as those above. I think this frustrates me even more due to the fact that I want to enjoy the book since I enjoy the framwork, but now halfway through the second book I dont know how much more I'm willing to give it. I think you might like the book if you suscribe to the idea of strict, traditional and stereotypical gender roles constituting the majority of our personalities, but otherwise I'd sadly not recommend it.
Flat, stereotypical characters
