Summary

The body of Steven Fairchild is discovered in a seedy high rise flat. He had been stabbed through the heart and bizarrely posed in a wedding dress and veil. As DCI Pitt and DS Khunkhun investigate the man’s past, his associates of a decade earlier also appear to be victims of the same killer. A message written in chldlike script is always left with the bodies. The fact that the men may have been involved in drug dealing and money laundering leads the officers to believe that the killings may be Mafia related.

However, as other facts emerge, Pitt has his doubts.
