Le "blason" est un type de poème à la mode du XVIe siècle, comme un surgeon tardif du "dit" médiéval, et suite à l'épigramme du "Beau tétin" de Clément Marot, publié en 1535. Son orginalité repose sur un parti-pris thématique de description célébrant une partie du corps féminin (ou a contrario la dénigrant, c'est alors un "contre-blason").
