Summary

Hold the line.

After narrowly defeating the invading enemy fleet, there is evidence that the attack isn't over.

Thousands have died, and all that stands between human extinction and the invaders are the remnants of the colonial military.

Connor must find a way to rally the colony using every scrap of ingenuity to stop the invaders. But will he succeed when he finds himself pitted against mankind's ultimate enemy? This could be mankind's final hour...or its greatest victory.

Good story

Good story but a lame ending. He wrapped up all of the Loose Ends but then concluded with a feminist satisfying abusive woman, turning Connor into a beta male simp.

Well done trilogy wrap up

Would you consider the audio edition of Legacy to be better than the print version?

I regularly get both kindle and audio versions. I am enthralled with Audible and the transformation of audiobooks to real performances. The narrator of this series, Mr. Aiello, is incredible. You will find that you know who is speaking simply from the voice. The audio talent is incredible and really adds to the story itself. (The story is excellent as well and does a nice job of closing the open plot lines.)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sean Quinn. Lozito does a wonderful job of evolving him from the first novel throughout the series.

What about Scott Aiello’s performance did you like?

His vocal range is amazing. He is capable of truly providing a different voice for each character. He is particularly impressive in his portrayal of female characters.

Excellent read and excellent listen..

Wow, Wow, Wow! Except for about a page-and-a-half (LOL) this entire book was one huge battle. All the earthlings against the Vemus. And a lot of the people of New Earth died, and some became stronger.

I loved the characters: Sean, Savannah and Nathan, Lenora, Ashley and Tobias, and all the secondary characters who ran the ships, and all the characters who died in battle that we got to know.

This will be a really short review because I really can’t tell you about the battles that went on.

There’s no sex and no real swearing.

As to the narration: I think Scott Aiello is what made these books so exciting. He’s just awesome with the voices and the emotions when he reads.

keeps pace with books 1 and 2

there are typically any number of convenient embellishments in a science fiction story that solve problems or allow the hero to be more than super... Usually at the risk of the story itself. this is not that serious. character development over the three books so far is consistent, and the pace of the first novel carries all the way through this one.

This particular book is pretty boring

The other two books were nice and entertaining, but this one is pretty boring and much more military... too much military, as if I care for ranks and military details. Looks like author just put in data to make the book larger, but the data is not very interesting. For me this book is the end of the story.

Not Safe Yet

Legacy by Ken Lozito
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Connor is up against the wall again as another ship arrives trying to wipe the colony out. This followed the characters as they fought against the very deadly foe. I enjoyed hearing all that happened and there was a small surprise at the end. This is not the last we hear about First Colony. A new trilogy follows. Scott Aiello continues to do an excellent job narrating the series.

Increasingly cliche and full of tropes

The series as a whole alternates between intriguing and contrived, but unfortunately becomes increasingly the latter as it approaches the climax. Reads like a compilation of Michael Bay's greatest hits, with all the shallowness it implies.

A trilogy that is worth your while

a trilogy that flows and finishes. Often times I get into a series that seems to drag on after awhile. Many time the Author seems to write nothing but filler for several books with battle scenes that become redundant over time. This doesn't do that. Every thing that happens, seems to happen for a reason and what plot holes there are, are limited and acceptable considering the scope of the story. I cared about the characters and their outcome, several favorites were killed off. I like this because conflict isn't without consequence. Kiliing off a few favored characters gives scope to the arc of the story, which to me makes it worth it in the end. Thank you Mr. Lozito

Space Noise - Not Bad Noise - But Still Noise

Went ahead and listened to this series because it cost $1.99 for each book with Kindle Unlimited. Certainly not worth more than that. A SciFi story like thousands of others.
