Essential Leadership Skills for Influencing and Managing People
Leadership is not something people are necessarily born with – it can be learned. The most effective way to learn leadership is through the techniques of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP is a set of skills for psychologically influencing people (using body language, verbal techniques and other practical methods).
This book will help readers to:
• find their own leadership style
• think strategically
• empower others
• overcome resistance

There's a lot that is useful in this audiobook and I think it bears repeated listening, over time. It has useful exercises and questions to prompt reflection and self-awareness. I found it very valuable to get me to reflect on how I operate, the skills I have and so on. It's like being coached by Joseph, which I really enjoyed.
I'm very familiar with NLP and the concepts covered, but a complete beginner to NLP would get a great deal from this audiobook (and I think, so would an NLP-sceptic!). Joseph refers to several key NLP concepts, but also draws inother relevant frameworks from the Leadership literature.
Probably best listened to with pen and paper so you can actually write down the insights you get rather than just heard through headphones whilst on the way to other things.
Good, tho' it's not Ian reading it!
