Summary

Una mujer fuerte siempre toma las riendas.Una espléndida finca en el sur de Suecia se convierte en el escenario de los acontecimientos del vertiginoso siglo XX, protagonizados por varias mujeres de una misma familia. Estocolmo, 1913. Agneta, la descendiente de una familia que se dedica desde hace varias generaciones a la cría de caballos, finalmente ha logrado su gran sueño. Pero todo se trunca cuando su padre y su hermano fallecen en un accidente y Agneta debe regresar inmediatamente a  casa para hacerse cargo de la finca familiar. La joven intentará abrirse su propio camino sin ceder a los deseos de su madre, que quiere casarla cuanto antes con el mejor pretendiente.
