Story
Jack Witney served 25 years in prison although he shot no one and was released on appeal, only to be murdered in his Bristol flat a few years later. John Duddy died in Parkhurst after 15 years. But Harry Roberts, by his own admission the instigator of the crime and the most notorious, was released from prison after 48 years in 2015, making national front page news. What could possess an apparently rational and sane man, albeit a habitual criminal, to commit such a callous and ruthless act? How can an ordinary person understand what he did? Should he be forgiven?

Story
On 20 May 1999, the South Australian Police were called to investigate a disused bank in the unassuming town of Snowtown, in connection to the disappearance of multiple missing people. The police were not prepared for the chilling scene that awaited them. The officers found six barrels within the abandoned bank vault, each filled with acid and the remains of eight individuals. The smell from inside the vault was so stifling that the police required breathing equipment.

Story
On February 20, 1926, landlady Clara Newman (60) opened her door to a potential tenant who enquired into the availability of one of her rooms. Despite his grim and bulky appearance, he introduced himself politely and in a soft-spoken voice whilst clutching a Bible in one of his large hands. She invited him in. The moment he stepped into her home, he lunged forward, wrapping his oversized fingers around her throat and forced her to the ground.

Story
Don Miller was quiet and reserved. As a former youth pastor, he seemed a devout Christian. No one would have ever suspected that the recent graduate of the Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice was a serial killer. However, when Miller was arrested for the attempted murder of two teenagers in 1978, police quickly realized he was probably responsible for the disappearances of four women. Offered a still-controversial plea bargain, he led police to the bodies of the missing women. Now, after 40 years in prison, Miller has served his time.

On a chilly November afternoon in 1998, a tearful 36-year-old man walked into the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department in Eureka, California, and confessed to something horrible. "I hurt some people," he said. Inside his pocket was the ghastly proof of his statement. But there was more to Wayne Adam Ford than the trail of mangled victims he left behind. More, even, than the twisted predator inside, which drove him to increasingly perverse sexual appetites.

Summary
After an investigation spanning nearly two years, Los Angeles investigators come up empty in the case of a terrifying serial sex killer.
But then, a seemingly unrelated arrest is made across state lines. In book two of Murder by Increments, we journey deeper into the life and mind of the suspect at the center of the case: one of the most confounding and mysterious serial killers in American history.
Killing Cousins documents the shocking story of an abusive childhood that created a monster, and the suspect’s possible involvement in a separate string of killings of teenagers in Rochester, New York.
Was this man truly a multiple personality, or a cunning sociopath enacting a daring hoax against the criminal justice system? By the end, you will be able to make up your own mind.

One for the true crime fanatics
Love this book. The authors attention to detail and research is brilliant. If you are chasing blood, guts, and gore sadly you won’t find that here. What you will find is a glimpse into the mind of a psychopath with multiple personality disorder, and the people whos job it was to find the trueth among the lies and deception, and then theres Angelo. but to find out more about thees 2 parasites you’ll have to listen to this story. This book also has some twists and turns in it that I didn’t see coming. Its an all round ripper read. Susan Marlowe as the narrater is a great Choice and pulled the job of well. Her delivery is brilliant. Many thanks to O.J. Madjeska, Susan Marlowe, and everybody else who brought this audiobook to life, and for making this an awesome listening experience
