Summary

My name is shouted on rooftops. It's written on bras, on the inside of bathroom stalls - hell, my name is everywhere. To say my name is to experience an orgasm without ever leaving your damn house. My name is Zane Saint Andrews. I'm sex. I'm a rock god. I'm also a virgin. What they don't know won't kill them, right? Give the people what they want. And what they want is the idea of me; the pleasure they gain by listening to my song and knowing without a doubt that I'm talking about them and only them. It worked for a while. Until a nerdy girl with glasses falls at my feet, literally, and suddenly I don't want to be Saint anymore. What I want? What I really need? Is to be kept. By her.

I would easily give this 5 stars if...

I love this story. I love Zane and I love Fallon. I think the narrators are both great. So now you're wondering, "Then why on earth aren't you giving this 5 stars Truly?!" The issue with this audiobook is there are FAR too many errors. I had listened to this the first time and was loving it, though a little confused at times. Then came the end and I was so confused it was laughable. I literally skipped back and re-listened to a large chunk at the end but still felt like I was seriously missing something important. I had listened to this through Audible escape but was so invested in the story and then irritated by the absolute confusion I was feeling, that I bought the kindle edition just so I could read along and listen to it all again. I began noticing a few things - a couple lines here and there just not narrated or a chunk of the story read twice in a row. Those things I could overlook and I still would've given this 5 stars. The big downfall happens during the most crucial part of the story - there is literally a HUGE, massively important to the story, part that is just missing in the narrated version. This disappoints me more than might seem reasonable. This is due to the fact that I really like the story and LOVE the characters but had I not bought the kindle edition to read, I would've had a very bitter feeling for how the story ended.
Basically, this audiobook NEEDS to be re-edited (if it was even done in the first place).
Please fix this so more people can enjoy what is a great story. If fixed, I will happily give all 5 stars!

Good story

This audiobook was very entertaining, just a little slow at first. The story of famous rockstar Zane, who has issues and a secret, and nerdy girl Fallon, who feels she is way out of her league is sweet and romantic. The narration was great and loved the ending. Fallon's dad was just hilarious!

Great story with wonderful narration

This is book two in the Seaside Pictures series, but can be read as a standalone. Although I recommend reading the first book and any book by Rachel Van Dyken as her books keep you involved from the prologue to the last sentence. Many of the characters here you will find in her other books which will help you understand the dynamics of these characters and help you avoid any possible spoilers. One warning: once you are finished with this book, you will never look at a marshmellow the same way again. As with many of Rachel Van Dyken’s books she touches on real life issues and this book doesn’t disappoint.
A Rachel story is one that is packed full of a wide range of emotions from humor to sadness any every other on the spectrum.
I listened to the audio of this book and the narrators Brittney Pressley and Peter Coleman did a wonderful job bringing Zane and Fallon to life along with all the other characters. These talented narrators hit every point on the emotion spectrum.
They made it easy to know by the voice changes when a different character is speaking and you will be laughing along or screaming at the characters. This is a must listen to excellent story and series. I will be looking for books narrated by these talented readers and any book by this wonderful author.

Another enjoyable book

This is the second in the seaside pictures but continues to have characters from seaside. I enjoyed Zane and Fallon. Zane is a rockstar but has social anxiety and is trying to finish his album . Fallon is a local girl that is sweet but not the typical type a rock star goes for. I enjoyed their story in addition to getting a bit more of a glimpse of the previous characters.

Excellent

Rachel Van Dyken has a talent in drawing you in & immersing you into the world she has created. This book as all the feels, love & pain mostly. I loved watching their relationship bloom & I loved how they both helped each other in the long run overcome their demons.

Marshmallows anyone???

I thought that this was a sometimes sad book, but overall it was cute and fun. I loved Zane and Fallon's characters. I thought that Zane was so different than he should have been but it worked. Fallon was the opposite of what Zane should want. I loved how their story unfolded. I loved the supporting characters. Great read. I loved the different emotions I felt throughout the book.
