About this listen

Nicole Parsons had the perfect life, made complete with the suburban home and the proverbial white picket fence. When tragedy struck and she lost the most important people in her life, she turned away from everything she loved before, shutting out every reminder of the perfect life she lost.

It has been one year, three months, one week, and six days since the accident, and Nicole is ready to stop counting the days she’s survived, and begin living again.

On a dare from her best friend, Nicole encounters Zack Walters—the popular alternative rock star and man who signifies so much of her past—and suddenly everything in Nicole’s safe and quiet life changes.

When she’s forced to face the pain she’s carried for so long, will she truly be able to heal from her past and begin to live again?

Or will her new adventure ruin her completely?

Nicole Parsons has made it through a horrific tragedy and with the support and encouragement of her BFF Mia is out on her first evening out with her friend. It’s been over a year and Nicole’s still counting the days her life changed. Her heart is still fragile and broken but she is willing to try living again because of her well intentioned friend giving her a wee push. Dared to buy a stranger a drink Nicole meets a sexy man who unwittingly turns out to be no other than Zack Walter from a popular alt-rock band. And in turn Zack is smitten by the sexy woman who didn’t know who he was. How often has Zack had the chance to be himself around a woman, and a beautiful one at that!

I listened to the audiobook version of this book. While I did enjoy both performances there were some editing issues but I believe they were corrected.

Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne are great in this rockstar romance. Stacey has written an emotionally charged story of loss, and learning to live again. It’s also a story of love and acceptance.

Not sure I could overcome the huge loss Nicole has endured and Meghan’s performance brought out the emotional journey as Nicole works through her loss and in finding herself again while navigating her budding emotions to Zack.

Zack is self assured and patient for a rockstar. I’m not sure Nicole would have been able to navigate her feelings without the amazing patience he provided in their relationship.

I’m excited and hopeful to hear Mia and the rest of the band members stories but this was an awesome emotional start for the series.

Nicole and Zack's story has heartbreaking circumstances but their overall story is absolutely beautiful, They completely fill the gaping holes that were in both their lives.
Love these lines in the story.
"I don't want you to forget them, Nicole. I'm not asking you to let them go,
I just want you to make room for me too."
"I can give you my whole heart, Zack. They have so much of it already.”
(Zack) "If you can give me half as much as I love you, it will be more than enough." The audio version is a plus, the narrator did well.

Tragedy has Nicole living but not really living. When her bff takes her to a bar one night and she meets Zack her life changes. I loved how she just didn’t know who was Zack and he did too. It led to a great romance, full of care and comfort but also laughter and love and music. Great listen!

A star romance!

I love the dual narration of Meghan Kelly and Neill Thorne, both are perfect to listen too.

This story gets better and stronger as you listen. It has a mix of sadness and happiness throughout the book.
Tragic life of Nicole and the sad lonely life of Zach make a loving, emotional story together. The supporting characters are great and can see other stories in the future.

This is a great rockstar romance story. It also has some heartbreaking aspects too. I fell for these characters, they were likeable, and loveable. I liked the dual narratives, Meghan Kelly, and Neill Thorne brought Nicole and Zack to life for me.
I can't wait to listen to the rest of the stories in this series.
