About this listen

After the sudden and brutal breakdown of her marriage, Jenny finds herself alone for the first time in her life when she leaves the comfortable farmhouse with her four-year-old daughter.

Taking refuge in a seaside town in North Wales, Jenny finds a room in a boardinghouse. It's difficult at first, but as she gets to know her fellow residents, she gradually begins to see that life has much more to offer than she could ever have dreamed.

And when she meets Ben, the owner of the local coffee bar, she finally understands that she is far happier now, living on her own, than she ever was when she was married.

This story is a delight to listen too, narrated so well by Anne Dover. It was easy to imagine the lives of everyone living in the flats and how well they all got on with each other. Maybe there will be a sequel for us to hear how Jenny and Bill”s life continued.Thank you Katie Flynn for writing such an interesting story- I really enjoyed it.

This has been a disappointing book. I like a book with a good strong story-line but this one just drifted along.Narrator is good.

Disappointed

Started good , enjoyed the friendships and the strength in leaving an abusive husband, but the story line lost focus and had a very poor ending sadly.
