Now he’s haunted by a scene he saw between Lott Jenkins and Melanie. No woman should ever be treated with such disregard, but what can he do? If he tried to help, they’d take one look at him, and he’d be no help at all.

The other problem with this book is that I did not feel the love between Lucas and Melanie since we hardly see them together. We see a lot of Lott (the guy she hates) and Melanie but not the other way round until closer to the end of the book. Because of this I did not feel the connection between the two unlike the hatred between Lott and Melanie.
It is still an OK read.
Suitable for all since it is a clean read.
