About this listen

A young man, Brian Davis, was born in Britain, went to India—in the Sundarbans swamps—to help his uncle bring down a tiger, a man-eater; it proved challenging to hunt down this animal. Many others had tried before and were unsuccessful. He was good with firearms and a skillful hunter. He managed to kill the man-eater, but it was a close call.

He later returned to Britain and studied law. After that, he worked in a bank in London. That was during Queen Victoria's era. The young man also wanted to fulfill his dreams of owning a fleet of ships and achieved it over time by starting with two vessels.

After working for the bank, he was later employed by an elite family and married a woman in that same family. The wife turned out to be a drunkard and was unfaithful during their marriage.

He decided to leave the employment with his in-laws and start his own business. It was an instant success. Subsequently, unfortunate events started happening: he lost his daughter and his two newly purchased ships. They were blown up at sea, losing all the people and cargo on board. He was viciously attacked, and so were some of his staff. Scotland Yard was busy trying to solve that problem, and it seemed like a vendetta...but by who?

His ex in-laws took over the loan on his newly purchased ships and they tried to seize his vessels. To save his company, he took on an assignment to find a son of a wealthy Belgian family, who was lost in the interior of Africa. Other people were also looking for the same person...to kill him.

While traveling to the Mountain of the Moon (Ruwenzori mountain in Uganda), they had to go through Tsavo, Kenya, and came across the killer lions, man-eaters. A pair of lions also attacked them while on their journey. Brian with his Winchester repeater, was skilled with guns and brought down the man-eater. He must succeed in saving his company back in Britain.
