Summary

From number-one New York Times best seller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy stand-alone novel.

Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends - a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought....
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

Good listen

Vi Keeland writes this type of fiction very well mixing comedy and pathos in with the plot. This is an easy read/listen (with a few laughs along the way) which can be revisited if, like me, you speed read (or listen) and miss things the first time around.

3.5 stars - Just ok

I seem to be on my own with my lower rating for this book, but I found it just “ok”. The characters were nice, I was happy that they got their happily ever after - but in a sort of emotionally detached way. I never really felt their relationship. The plot had a well thought out and detailed back story (which was horribly sad), but although it added to the book, it didn’t add to their relationship which is what these types of books are all about. It all fell a bit flat.

This book will give you all the feels

I was hooked from the first chapter! 2 brilliant narrators that are in my top favourites made this a Lovely read and although it had some heart breaking bits in it I felt the book was light and didn’t drag on. This book had me in stitches of laugher esp the part where her friend asks teases him about his male grooming😂 Love isn’t a smooth ride and these 2 certainly had a few bumps!

Loved it!!

Loved everything about this book! Couldn’t wait to find out what happened after each chapter it kept me guessing, so had to finish it all in one day. Had me giggling to myself and sniffling in parts. Really enjoyed this book and worth a second read.

Loved it!!

Really enjoyed book as I do with most by Vi Keeland. Well written and although the usual predictable HEA ending that we love, the story of how they got there with Grants history made it a little different than your average rich CEO sweeps girl off her feet story.
As for narrators ... well its Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. Both were brilliant as always!

**Trigger Warning**

(And, by necessity, *spoiler*) I can’t believe this has yet to be mentioned in the comments. I would not have chosen this book had I known. A major plot point in this book is the loss of an infant and the tragic circumstances surrounding that event.

The beginning had promise, but the rest of the story did not live up to that promise. I felt the seriousness of the plot demanded far more conversation than sex. Clearly, the author felt the opposite. Had I known the plot, I would have chosen a different, and more enjoyable, book.

Very disappointed

I was very disappointed in this Book. The narration was great by Sebastian York and Andi Arendt, However the main female character was very nosy and all around annoying. The Guys part wasn’t as terrible as the females. He at least allowed you to like him and get into his story. The female was whiny and nosy and her best friend was Judge mental and also very nosy. The name of the book is inappropriate and nothing about the story was inappropriate. It had some good parts But all around it just wasn’t good., even the sex scenes are lame. Word to the wise, don’t waste your credit.

A beautiful story of love

When I read the blurb for this, I knew I wanted to read it. I eagerly waited for it to become available for purchase. I wasn't disappointed.

The blurb describes the story of how Grant and Ireland meet. The attraction between them was undeniable. There was an underlying story of heartbreak that was slowly revealed through the story. It will make you cry. It was so sad. The story is all about love, but with that can come hard times as well. The story also looks at mental health and how that can affect those around them the person who is dealing with it.

The narration, as always with Andi Arndt and Sebastian York was brilliant. They help you get totally sucked into the story. I couldn't stop listening.

It is on the heavy side in parts, but so worth going through it. I thought it was fantastic and really enjoyed it. I know it will be listened to many times. It was so worth the credit.

So emotional

This book starts out so funny, but there are also hints of the darker aspects of the characters’ back story. The love story develops naturally but eventually hits a very difficult hurdle. I cried so much. One of my favorite novels from Vi Keeland so far.

Loved it! (Spoiler included)

In reading the last couple of reviews, I almost did not buy this book, but I am very glad I did. I truly enjoyed this book from start to finish. I loved Ireland (the female lead), she is quirky and fun. Grant seemed like a very troubled, but nice guy. Their "introduction" to each other was funny and different, and proved that Grant had a sense of humor. I had no choice but to love both of them. The narrators were spectacular as always, you can't go wrong with Sebastian York and Andi Arndt. One reviewer mentioned a "trigger", which could be an issue to an individual who has lost an infant or has an issue processing an infant did not really die - this is just a book. The author needed to come up with a "situation" that would account for Grant's (male lead) issues. She certainly came up with a good story line that would account for that. This book will make you laugh and make you cry - what could be better?

Love love love this book

Can't say how much I loved this book. You will laugh, cry, and just fall in love with these two wonderful people. My husband thought I was a bit crazy because I was laughing so hard. Couldn't stop listening to this book! It is a must read/listen. And as always, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did an excellent job. Can't go wrong when these two narrators team up.

Needs a TRIGGER WARNING **

Awesome book with two amazing characters but the subplot, which is not included in the book description is worthy of a TRIGGER WARNING. As such, SPOILER ALERT: the ex-wife suffers from severe PPD/depression and murders their 6 week old baby. OH. MY. GOD. I usually listen to audio books to fall asleep (loooove Sebastian York and Andi Arndt!) but I wish I would have known so I could choose a different book. I feel traumatized. Probably because Vi is such a fabulous writer, and the narration is so good. But a heads up would have helped me make a better selection. Best wishes to you!
