As the previous book in the series it uses choices but there is only one branch then goes back to main story. to make it really interactive and meaningful it should have the branching following 3 more chapters and adding further branching before you see if it is the right or wrong path.
All in all good attempt but much more is desired to be a success. Author please consider rewriting and do a 2nd edit taking ino account the feedback.
