About this listen

 Firas Alshater ist ein ganz normaler Berliner mit Hipsterbart und Brille, ein Comedian und erfolgreicher YouTuber. Nur, dass er bis vor zwei Jahren in Syrien für seine politischen Videos sowohl vom Assad-Regime als auch von Islamisten verhaftet und gefoltert wurde. Erst die Arbeit an einem Film erbrachte ihm das ersehnte Visum für Deutschland, und Firas betrat den größten Kokon der Welt: den Westen. Seitdem versucht er, uns zu verstehen: das Pfandsystem, private Briefkästen, Fahrkartenautomaten und die deutsche Sprache ("Da reicht ein Leben nicht für"). Doch als sein Bruder mit Familie über das Mittelmeer nach Europa kommt, erkennt Firas: Ich bin schon total deutsch. Kann also noch was werden mit uns und diesem neuen Land.
