About this listen

On the surface, capable teenage boys may look lazy. But dig a little deeper, writes child psychologist Adam Price in He's Not Lazy, and you'll often find conflicted boys who want to do well in middle and high school but are afraid to fail and so do not try.

This audiobook can help you become an ally with your son as he discovers greater self-confidence and accepts responsibility for his future.

This book speaks so much about what I’m going through with my teenage son. You can see his opting out and saying he does not care because he fears failing. This book is helping me understand my son and how to best approach him. I’m recommending this book to a friend who is struggling too,

The book is interesting
I was able to apply some of the areas to are family with a couple of teenagers one who has autism.

Different types of parenting and it’s impact on a child and how it affects can effect the communication and relationship between the two I liked. Now I look at myself and others and try and identify what type of parenting people are they.

I found the book helpful and will and have applied some of the techniques in the book.

Great book for all parents of teen or preteen boys, whether their kids are opt-outs or not. Packed with useful, interesting information about adolescent development and how it impacts their behavior. At first I wasn't comfortable with the narration but quickly got used to it, the pace and tone is natural and easy to listen to. Love how the book is divided into two parts making it really easy to grasp. Dr Price quotes so many experts too, making it really a wealth of information. Helped me see my boys in a different light, and work better on my parenting. Highly recommended

I had issues with the way I was brought up and my parents had far too many expectations. I broke away from them but I was anxious for my son not to go down the same destructive path.

Society is changing to top it off navigating fatherhood becomes difficult when my son became awkward. I know my teenage years were difficult but after listening to this book the struggles made. me who I am. The advice is golden and after absorbing the information my son has the space to fail. Highly recommended for parents of teenage boys.
