Summary

The New York Times and USA Today best-selling series.

While the Hell Divers cross an ocean to battle the machines, an old flesh-and-blood threat returns to the islands.

The mission to Rio de Janeiro ended in victory, but it came at a dire cost, killing most of those who set out to rescue the stranded survivors. Even worse, the skinwalkers’ leader, Horn, escaped with his demonic crew and is coming to take the throne.

Back at the Vanguard Islands, King Xavier Rodriguez has been severely injured in another battle to protect the kingdom. Now an infection threatens to kill the one man who can keep the peace. As he fights for survival, new intel from Rio de Janeiro gives humanity hope of destroying the biggest threat of all: the machines - if the machines don’t find the Vanguard Islands first.

An Excellent Sequel

Nicholas Sansbury Smith has created a brutal and enthralling world which he has continued in this excellent 7th book. I will be looking forward to the next book.

R C Bray is an excellent narrator and quite simply one of the top in the industry and definitely one of my favourites. He is able to bring the grit and tough times of the post apocalypse to life.

I would recommend this book if you have read the previous entries.

It's all about the "he said", "she said"!

Really enjoyed the book... but something about the writing was quite jarring at times. Just listen out for how many times RC Bray says the word "said" at the end of almost every piece of dialogue. For this reason, the book felt a little rushed at times, and at times it completely killed my immersion. Nicholas is normally a better writer than this! Still definitely worth a listen and a great addition to the series... but for some reason it did wind me up.

Excellent story line. Helldivers VII ... A*

A brilliant series of audiobooks , captivating from start to finish. Could definitely be a big hit TV series . Excellent narration by RC Bray and I cannot wait for the next audiobook in the series by this highly talented author Nicholas Sansbury Smith .This is an extremely addictive story line that is well worth making the time to listen.

Highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic ending to the series?? If this is the ending anyway, I haven't listened to many books where I could be bothered to actually write a review, but this is definitely worth it. The Hell divers series is a fantastic and unique in its genre and Nicholas Sainsbury Smith does a fantastic job with it. This is one of the best endings?? to a series I have ever listened to or read for that matter.

Fantastic performance, unfortunately

Absolutely love the Helldiver saga, been glued to it every since. But such a frustrating slow story with the main characters in this story not thinking and stumbling into events, like how have any of you survived. Disappointing hope it's the last one, very sad to say. Had so much potential.
