I noticed a direct link between my stress levels and my pain levels. When I get worked up, I hurt more. This book is basically a manual on how to lower that stress through spiritual practice.
The grounding exercises are my go-to whenever I feel anxiety creeping up. By calming my mind, I can often keep my physical pain from spiking. It breaks that vicious cycle where pain causes stress and stress causes pain. It is a very practical resource for managing the daily ups and downs.

When my pain is at its worst, I can't focus enough to read a physical book. That is why I grabbed the audio version of this. The narrator has a very calm and gentle voice that is perfect for when you are feeling fragile.
I often listen to the sections on visualization right before bed. It helps me unclench my muscles and drift off to sleep, which is usually a struggle for me. It feels like a guided meditation specifically designed for people who hurt. It is a really comforting presence to have in my ear when I am having a rough night.
