When I started listening to this story I wasn’t sure that I was going to like it but as it continued I found it hard to stop listening. Life after the war was so difficult for many people. As usual, Anne Dover is a brilliant narrator and thank you Mary Gibson. I was so glad everything turned out well in the end and a sequel would be good to hear what happened next.

a gentle and informative distraction
I had a great deal of time consuming but not terrible challenging work to do and this story was the perfect accompaniment! Absorbing story, goodcpace but with time enough to get to know and bond with the characters. If you liked Callxthe Midwife you'll enjoy this!
