Summary

I loved to hate her...

She made it so easy. She was everything I wasn’t - everything I didn’t want to be.

A reminder that from the moment I was born, I was the outcast. The rebel.

I went against everything that was expected of me and created a life on my terms. I built my own empire, carved out my own destiny.

Then she shows up at my tattoo studio, representing everything I tried to escape. She expects to just fit in...like she ever could.

Tabitha Anderson.

The posh girl trying to prove everyone wrong...that she can be something else - someone else. She hates me because she knows I’m right.

Or so I think. Turns out this isn’t the first time we’ve met, and our hate has history. We have history.

I might not have remembered, but I damn sure won’t forget now. Won't forget how her smile is always directed at everyone but me.

If everything changes and she proves she does fit in, will it still be hate I’m feeling or something else entirely?

And if I’m wrong, then she’s right where she belongs...with me.

Good but fell a little short

This book was good, but it wasn't great. I am not usually a tough critic considering I live and breathe books but this one had to get a star knocked off. It was a little far fetched on some parts. Tabitha Anderson is out one night and walks past the sign stating they are hiring so she decides to go in and apply. Little does she know who owns the shop and the encounter she is about to face. Zach Abbott comes from the wealthy life of fancy cocktail parties and all that good stuff, it doesn't suit him so he went on his own. Nobody in his family knows about his business, he is living in two separate worlds. Again this book was good, but it seemed like the author was trying too hard to make the chemistry work. I didn't care for it. The characters weren't really enemies to lovers and the fact that they went to school together and she was his sister's best friend and he had no idea who she was is far fetched. Sure she wasn't a popular girl and he may have been in his own world during high school but come on, he never remembers her, not even a little bit? The sex scenes were graphic and intense so to say, but they seemed forced. They didn't seem passionate and heated they were just rough and done. It was odd for me. I didn't care for it. He was rude and unforgiving and she was a coward of epic proportions. Some of the ways she just went with whatever he said annoyed me, like the tattoo scene... wtf was that? I mean no... just no. This book wasn't my cup of tea but it could be yours.. not all books are meant for everyone and that's what makes them so great, it's part of the appeal. The narrators however did a great job. I loved their accents and could listen to their voices all day! It is fascinating to me to hear the way different people pronounce different words.

Excellent narration, stand alone story

Tracy Lorraine is a new author for me. I'd like to give the story 4.5 stars. It's mostly predictable with a small twist, but I enjoyed it. This is a stand alone book, but I'm planning to continue the series to see what happens with other characters. I listened to the Audible version. I was a little nervous about the duet format as the alternating voices can sound abrupt as they jump in and out, but that is not at all the case with this one. The editing brought the two voices together to make them seem natural and they both performed very well. I always appreciate having two narrators for dual points of view. Kylie Stewart was a new narrator for me, and, after listening to Hate You, Shane East is one of my favorites. #AudiobookObsession

Such a good story and accents to die for

Oh crikey I loved this so much. The British accents are to die for, they're so good and made me feel so comfortable. Kudos to Kylie Stewart and Shane East, they brought so much to the story. And what a great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through. It really pulled me in and I ended up shouting at them in my head!

Hate You

There’s something about the angst and energy of a good hate to love story that really hits the spot for me. Zach is definitely not welcoming to the secretive Tabitha. She is looking to change her lifestyle and never expected to land at Zach’s shop. They have great chemistry that shines even through heir antipathy. Although I would’ve liked for Tabitha to be a little more assertive, she still made for an entertaining character. The writing and plot kept my attention. The secondary characters are very intriguing. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Shane East and Kylie Stewart were phenomenal in their portrayal of Zach and Tabitha. Their tone, pitch, and pace were on point.

Zach and Tabitha!

As a teenager Zach was determined to forge his own path away from the shadow of his family and he doesn’t care that they think that he is a tattooed bad boy with no plans for the future because he knows the truth. The last thing he needs is for a privileged rich girl to come crashing into his world and turn everything upside down. After enduring a profound loss Tabitha decides that the best way to honor her is to live the life she wants and not the life her parents want. When she has the opportunity to work as an admin in a tattoo shop she believes that this will help her achieve the independence she so desperately wants but she didn’t expect that the owner would be someone from her past even if he doesn’t remember her. These two appear to be very different but appearances can be deceiving. The both have preconceived notions of who the other is and watching their journey to realize they couldn’t have been more wrong is filled with heat, angst and a few twists along the way. I thought that both narrators were a great match for the characters. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

This book captured my attention from the start!

This book captured my attention from the start and I'm sure that being performed by one of my favorite narrators has something to do with it! Kylie Stewart and Shane East were fantastic as Tabitha and Zach. The writing was excellent. This was my first time reading/listening to a Tracy Lorraine book and definitely won't be the last! Hate You is an enemies-to-lovers, best friend's-brother contemporary workplace romance written in dual first-person POV and narrated duet-style. It's a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating. I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Enemies To Lovers Romance

Hate You by Tracy Lorraine is an enemies to lovers romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Shane East and Kylie Stewart. All I can say is Wow! Tracy did an amazing job on this book. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Tabitha and Zach. I really enjoyed that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really makes the book come to life. I cannot wait for the next book in the series Trick You to be released on audible so I can get Danni and Titch’s story. Shane and Kylie knocked the narration out of the park! I love both of these narrators on their own, but this duet narration was amazing! They really brought the story to life. I would highly recommend this book if you love Enemies to Lovers Romance. AudiobookObsession AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Hate You

The perfect enemies to lovers book! This is a new author to me and I am happy to say she will now be on my list for future books when I’m on the hunt for a good read. I loved everything about this. The emotions were so high and to see there hatred and annoyance with each other turn into more was so fun. The way it ended definitely has me hoping the second in this series will be out soon.

Bad boys can be so good

Man, Zach was a complete bastard. He really treats Tabitha like total crap because he believes she represents everything he hates about his own life. He keeps his success a secret and doesn't let anyone into his life. Tabitha is sick of doing the same old thing and decides to shake things up by taking a chance at a job in a tattoo studio. Tabitha and Zach are explosive when they get together which is both good and bad. I listened to the audio book of this one and the two narrators just made this book even better!

Love it!

Loved it when I read it, love it even more when listening to these narrators bring these characters to life. Love listening to the banter between Zach and Tabitha. 4.5* An entertaining and super hot story. I first got a glimpse of Zach in His Manhattan and he is was portrayed as the brother who is squandering his trust fund drinking and banging chicks. In here we see that it is just a facade he puts on for his family. Zach is a successful tattoo artist and owns a bunch of parlors. Tabitha is a woman who is trying to find herself even though her parents are forcing her to go into the family business or marry someone who will take care of her. Tabitha ends up getting a job at Zach's tattoo parlor and the tension starts. He doesn't want her there because she belongs from his family's world that he is trying to get away. Little does he know how close they are since they went to school together and he doesn't recognize her and she is best friend's with his sister. They both hate each other but you could feel the sexual tension between them. Love the banter between these two and when they get together OMG so hot. This was an enjoyable story as I read these two try to deny their feelings. Then things get a bit intense when secrets are revealed. I wouldn't mind being on the receiving end of Zach's punishments. I can't wait to read Titch and Danni's story.

The past comes back to surprise you.

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. It is a enemies to lovers romance with some twists thrown in. Tabitha is trying to find her own way in life without be controlled by her parents. Zach is living a lie to his family as they think one way of him when in fact he is quiet the opposite. When Bith comes fact to face with Zach the sparks fly in more ways than one and their journey begins. Shane East and Kylie Stewart do a great job with this book. It is bases in London so their accents are perfect. I enjoyed the book, there are parts that being from the US the verbiage is different but it was good. I give it a strong 4 stars. 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧 I received a code to listen and review this book and give my honest opinion. I would recommend this book.

Absolutely Amazing!

I loved the book when I read it but listening to the actual audio is a whole other experience. It was amazing! The narrators do such an amazing job and I love that the story is told as a duet so even if the chapter is from one character's perspective, both narrators are doing the voices of the male and female. It makes the story come to life and I could feel myself there and picture everyone. The steamy scenes are all that much better and I couldn't stop listening.

Fiery enemies-to-lovers romance!

An enemies-to-lovers romance, “Hate You” embodied everything I love about this trope! Sparks fly as Zach’s hot-headed, stubborn nature and Tabitha’s firecracker backbone collide, igniting a love/hate relationship full of fiery banter and explosive chemistry that heats up in and out of the sheets. Just when Zach thought they couldn’t be more opposite… betrayals and truths come to light, questioning loyalty and family, leaving Zach to find comfort in Tabitha, realizing that they are not so different from one another. The epilogue was so fitting for Zach and Tabitha, as they both had rebelled from their upbringings, making it the perfect happily ever after for them. Now we’ll just have to see what happens with that bit of surprise at the end! Kylie Stewart and Shane East were amazing on narration. I truly loved the duet performance and what a bonus to have the story set in London at a tattoo studio! Listening to Shane voice all the sexy, tattooed secondary characters was dreaminess to my ears! #AudiobookObsession

Great Story!

I really liked it. The chemistry between the main characters was palpable. I liked the back and forth that went on until they realised their feelings for each other. I'll be reading the next book for sure. AudioBookObsessionsReviewer

4 STARS

Fun enemies to lovers romance. What I liked: Hero was j/p and I absolutely loved him when he wasn’t being a jerk. Ok maybe also when he was being a jerk. Heroine has a backbone and stands up to the hero. Side characters were interesting. Right until the epilogue I wanted to know more about Christian. Now I want to to know what actually happened between....ok can’t say who because it would be a spoiler! The reason this isn’t a five start review is because I felt we needed more about why Zach felt like he was an outcast with his family. We are told about how he avoids his family like the plague but I never really understood and would have liked more about his family dynamics in the past. Also because I didn’t really get to know Zach better I didn’t really get his intense hate for Tabitha at the beginning for being as he put it a “posh” girl. As for Tabitha I would have liked her relationship or lack of with her parents fleshed out more as well. Overall it’s a 4 star book for me! I would recommend if you want a lighter enemies to lovers romance. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book. *Audiobook Obsession Reviewer*

Love tattoo shop romances!

This was my first book by Tracy Lorraine and I really liked it. I tend to enjoy romance books that take place around tattoo shops, apparently I have a weakness for them. Hate You was a mix between best friends brother and enemies to lover romance... although Zach never knew Biff was best friends with his sister which is a little off, you would think she would mention Biff at some point in their conversations. I did like all the other guys in the tattoo shop better than Zach which was a little bit of a let down but he was trying really hard at being an a$$hole, which I am ok with in this type of trope because they tend to redeem themselves in the end but his hypocrisy towards Biff for coming from the same type of family and background as him got a little annoying. Biff definitely added a little spunk and attitude into the mix at the tattoo shop and I loved every time she would push back against Zach. The story of both Zach and Biff separating from their families to follow their own path was good but sometimes that mixed with the behavior, I had a hard time remembering that these characters were no longer in their early 20's. Shane East and Kylie Stewart did a great job narrating. I love Shane East in other romance books, but man he played the alpha a$$hole a little too good in this one! This was my first time listening to Kylie Stewart but I absolutely loved her accent for Biff, honestly I think both their narrations really added so much to the story and really brought the characters to life for me! #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Couldn't Get Enough!!! Perfect Narration

Hate You is my first read by this author and it completely pulled me in. I listened to the audio version, which I absolutely loved. Hate You is an enemies to lovers story regarding Zach, who owns his own tattoo studio business, and Tabitha/Biff who starts working at the studio and then realizes she knows Zach because they went to school together years ago, and he is her best friend's brother. Zach is hiding what he does from his family because he doesn't think he will accept it/him. Tabitha is also going against the standards her family expects, though Zach sees her as the same as his family and something he is most definitely trying to avoid. Tabitha and Zach's relationship was fiery and back and forth from the start. It was very clear they were going to be fighting or tearing up the sheets, and for sure their chemistry was off the charts. Zach definitely had a lot of anger throughout the first part of the book, and Tabitha took a large brunt of that, which made him comes across as a jerk, but she saw him for more than the rough exterior he showed the world. I really enjoyed the author's writing style and I absolutely loved the narration. I cannot wait to read book two about Zach's sister and his friend and employee Titch. This was my first listen by both Shane East and Kylie Stewart and I thought the narrration was perfect and the accents were amazing. I found the audiobook highly, highly enjoyable!! #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
