About this listen
In a land ruled by werewolves and shadowed by rebellion, Gwynn’s quiet life as a goat herder is shattered when a full moon brings tragedy to her family’s farm. Determined to protect her loved ones, Gwynn embarks on a journey that takes her from the enchanted forests to the heart of the royal castle, where secrets, curses, and dangerous alliances lie in wait.
Caught between her growing feelings for Tristan—a mysterious werewolf prince—and the rising tide of rebellion led by the enigmatic Radigan, Gwynn must navigate a treacherous world of magic and politics. As she uncovers truths about her kingdom and herself, Gwynn faces impossible choices that could break the curse binding the royal family—or plunge the kingdom into chaos forever.
With courage, wit, and the aid of a mischievous fairy, Gwynn steps into her destiny. But will her bold actions be enough to rewrite her kingdom’s fate, or will she be swept away by forces too powerful to resist?
A tale of love, rebellion, and the unyielding pull of the full moon, Gwynn and the Wolves is a spellbinding journey into a world where magic and betrayal collide.

The narrator has a whimsical charm to her performance and brought the character and world of Gwynn alive, and if I got around to doing audiobooks of my novels I think that Katie Villa would be at the top of my list for narrators I would pick, as she draws you into that fairy tale countryside setting so well.
There is a lot of story packed into this diminutive tale, and when it opens up into another setting later you do wonder again about the runtime. Has the author put too much in here? Could it have done with being much longer so we could explore the world more? On reflection I think that the book was the right length, it didn’t dwell too long on the setting or characters and kept it moving at a quick pace, and at the end you feel like you have listened to a good fairy tale, because that is what it is. It isn’t trying to be a grand novel, it isn’t trying to be a fantasy epic, it is a simple fairy tale about a goat herder called Gwynn.
Received this book free of monetary charge to give it an honest review but it still cost me that most valuable currency, time, and electricity of course. So I listened to the whole audio with my currency of time, and electricity, and have given an honest review of what I thought here.
