Journey found the whole encounter humorous, though he did feel a little bad for causing issues, but he brushed off the incident. This is a sort of regretful revenge story. After the one night that changes these guys lives both end up living with something they sure didn’t plan. These two are such opposites but they have this sort of attraction to each other. Pious casts a magic hex only it doesn’t go as he planned. At the same time Journey finds things happening to him that he has no understanding of. When they are faced with the actual problem they have to try and figure out what can be done about it. Pay attention at the warning about it being a dark story. It has its parts but I didn’t really enjoy this dark as I do more of the erotic type dark issues. It might be that I don’t usually read much magic but with this author I knew after reading No Peeking I’d have to try it. For me this is a good change of pace. While believe it or not there is romance here, they are a number of different factors and secondary characters with their own issues. I also have to thank the narrator, Keval Shah for bring much more vocal reality to this story than if I had tried to read it.

Not for the faint-hearted with some gorey scenes, but this book builds up gradually and every time you think you know where it's going, it does something different.

The relationship between Journey and Pious is so caring and it's fun to see how it changes them both as people.
