I'd definitely recommend this book - all of David Walliams books are brilliant, the plots are great, the voices hilarious, they keep my kids entertained for hours. Perfect for a long car journey.What did you like best about this story?
The plot, while rattling along and being hilarious, is actually at the same time rather moving. In a way it's a good way to prepare children for what happens when their Grandparents get old and near death - I know that sounds morbid but it's done with real sensitivity.Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favourite?
Grandpa was my favourite character. I loved his crazy foods that he eats - basically take a tin of something sweet and add something savoury to it. The kids loved those. "Dad, what are tinned peaches?" Haha!Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes I would have done if we hadn't come to the end of a long car journey! But we got there on the return leg. The whole family enjoyed it.Any additional comments?
