Summary

In the underground tunnels below Grand Central Terminal, Lee Stringer - homeless and drug-addicted for 11 years - found a pencil to run through his crack pipe. One day he used it to write. Superb reading

Kevin Kenerly’s reading lends appropriate weight to this non-fiction modern classic. Expanding a great deal on the first edition this feels like a whole new book. Maybe not as succinct as the original but still excellent clear prose, every line considered and every chapter leaving images which stick in the mind.
