About this listen

Eight years ago, thirteen-year-old Julie Whitaker was kidnapped from her bedroom in the middle of the night.

In the years since, her family have papered over the cracks of their grief – while hoping against hope that Julie is still alive.

And then, one night, the doorbell rings.

Gripping, shocking, and deviously clever, Good as Gone is perfect for fans of The Girl on the Train and The Ice Twins – and will keep readers guessing until the final page.

The woman reading this audio book did a particular voice for Black characters that was very uncomfortable to listen to.

Portrayal of Black characters made me feel uncomfortable

This was truly horrendous. I listen to about 5 books a week, and this is the first fiction one I haven't even been able to force myself to finish. Even if I'm not keen on a book, I have to know how it ends, but I'm 75% through this book having forced myself to keep going, and I still don't even know the storyline! The plot is all over the place, and there are WAY too many names to keep track of. Really disappointed I wasted a credit on this!
