About this listen
‘A wonderful, gritty, explosively violent, and beautifully realised debut’
DAILY MAIL
‘GODKILLER will have you in its grasp from the first pages’
Samantha Shannon, bestselling author of PRIORY OF THE ORANGE TREE
You are not welcome here, godkiller
Kissen’s family were killed by zealots of a fire god. Now, she makes a living killing gods, and enjoys it. That is until she finds a god she cannot kill: Skedi, a god of white lies, has somehow bound himself to a young noble, and they are both on the run from unknown assassins.
Joined by a disillusioned knight on a secret quest, they must travel to the ruined city of Blenraden, where the last of the wild gods reside, to each beg a favour.
Pursued by demons, and in the midst of burgeoning civil war, they will all face a reckoning – something is rotting at the heart of their world, and only they can be the ones to stop it.

Amazing story and brilliantly narrated

I enjoyed the pace and description from the narrator, it allowed me to paint a picture in my mind. The only slight I have is during the narrator’s performance when dealing with a powerful god her voice didn’t fit well, I wanted to hear power if that makes sense. Just my personal opinion and no offence intended.
Intertwined stories easy to follow

Thank the God of fantasy that there is a second book already released as I could not of coped waiting. This book makes me want my own little God to hang around in my handbag! I can not explain how much I loved this book, I do not care what other people think this is getting a straight five star and going straight up to the the top of my all time favourites. I liked how this book was straight to the point, was a little worried how the god killer did meet this god/girl quite early but the book didn't fail and had a strong story through out the book, which was great as I didn't have to force myself through a section or get a bit bored in some areas. It had a strong start and a strong ending which was perfect for me as I always struggle with though them parts of a book as the start always drags out as it builds out the scenery and can be long winded but also sometimes I have to push myself to finish a book even though its basically finished however this book was really something else. It may not be as brilliant for other's but for me it was perfect, no romance, no long descriptions and not just one main character. I felt having different chapters for different character made it good to follow the characters and creating dramatic irony brings the reader closer to the characters, to feel what the characters are feeling, connecting the character to the reader. I feel that Hanna Kaner is a brilliant writer as the book was easy to follow and doesn't over describe something, leaving the imagination to the reader.
Amazing
