good
the voice is slightly monotonous but the biblical content is there, a couple of times in this book the line is crossed and I guess some of the Trans community will see this. I think he sums up the greatest response in his chapter about what the church can do which is above all else bring them to God through Love!

Frustratingly Light
The book fails to engage in a sustained discussion on what defines a person's gender and the various perspectives on what gender is to properly show what the Biblical view of gender is. Instead, it only briefly discusses this with a very surface level assertion that God made humanity male and female and that gender is determined by chromosomes and therefore people's gender is their birth sex, ignoring any critique of this. It also doesn't do any exegesis of Bible passages to show their argument so, if you are not convinced by this basic logic and are looking for an in depth discussion, this book does not deliver.
The low point of the book is it stating in chapter 9 that people who have transitioned and subsequently converted should revert their gender identity to their birth sex without reference to Paul's advice in 1 Corinthians 7:20.
Despite these failings, there are a few helpful points, particularly chapters 8 and 10 which emphasise the need for love regardless of our perspectives on gender identity. Chapter 10 is a refreshing call out of the church and its attitudes towards the marginalised historically and currently towards transgender people.
Overall, despite the title, the book doesn't properly engage with any legitimate debate on transgender issues and will not challenge anyone's views on this issue.
