Summary

Eric - part-time king, quasi-avatar, and unconventional wizard - has an epic quest before him.

He must return to his lost kingdom to save it, slay a creature claiming to be a god, and navigate the terrible risks of a paradox that could undo everything!

been a long time fan of the series. don't know if I just like listing to Sean's voice or if the story is good. slow story progression as usual with a lot of fillers and character development but not much done. still a good listen. hopefully there will be more progression next time.

Sean kept me hooked yet again and made 44 hours of listening go by without even realising it. I love this series of books and I intend to buy the physical copies of them eventually.
A reluctant hero nightlord vampire, part time avatar and wizard parent and issues with giving up control. who would have thunk it. All that and a dragon sword with severe pyromania and a sarcastic personality and a horse spirit that can pretty much possess any vehicle or space station.

i've been hooked since the first book and would happily listen to them again and again.
