About this listen

Alan returns to podcasting, offering his unique perspective on life’s big questions, the hot-button issues of the day, his professional successes and the most intimate details of his personal life in a series he is already calling ‘seminal’. The second series will come partly from the oasthouse—in order to satisfy people who'd rather he didn’t mess with the format—and partly from other locations—to appeal to those who found the original format a bit limiting.

Meet Alan Partridge

Alan Partridge is a familiar face (and voice!) to anyone who enjoys genuinely good television (and radio!), having been seen (and heard!) on shows that have delighted the eyes (and ears!) of viewers (and listeners!) for decades, including BBC teatime show This Time (and North Norfolk Digital coffeetime show Mid Morning Matters!).

Broadcaster, writer, motivational speaker, sports fan, thought-leader, businessman and consummate professional, Alan enjoys bitter shandy, shandied lager, high-end knitwear and personal success. He is currently doing very well indeed.

lovely stuff.

If you have to explain why you find this sort of musing entertaining, occasionally hilarious, and endlessly repeatable, you are shouting into the wind. If you get it, you get it. If you don’t, you never will. Partridge has been part of my life for nearly 40 years and I still cringe at how accurately the author is able to read my mind - commenting on other drivers in filtering traffic, desperately trying to cling on to a feeling of relevance amongst all this youth culture social media bias. He makes me laugh. Out loud. Every time I listen to it.
