About this listen

Friendship Has No Colour is a wonderful story about a boy named Max, who has just moved to a new neighbourhood, with the goal of making good friendships at his new school. He meets his neighbour Emily, who also attends his new school and offers to show him around and introduce him to her best friends Billy and Timothy. However, Max runs into a problem, when his classmate Oliver, refuses to play a game of soccer with him, due to his appearance. When attempts from Emily and Billy fail, in convincing Oliver that his actions toward Max are wrong, Timothy secretly takes matters into his own hands.

Timothy disguises himself as the Warrior of Good Values with his heroic attire, and shocks everyone when he appears. He speaks firmly and assertively to Oliver about the importance of acceptance and diversity. Oliver eventually listens and understands the warrior's reasoning, due to his authoritative nature. Realizing his actions are wrong, Oliver extends his apologies to Max and Emily. Emily and Max both forgive Oliver, and they all enjoy a nice game of soccer together.

This book focuses on the messages of acceptance and kindness toward each other despite our physical differences. It also highlights different characteristics of races, and shows the meaning of being uniquely different, and furthermore, encompasses the lessons of developing great values such as friendship, diversity and forgiveness.
