I really enjoyed the premise of this book, it is well executed and the reading is a smooth and fluent reader. I did find this to be rather anticlimactic towards the end as I would have hoped for a different ending. However, this story changes the dominate norm of these kinds of situations by showing how small acts can change outcomes drastically. I would say that I feel it is written for an adolescent audience but overall a good read/listen.

loved this book Leonard was an amazing character to write this kind of stuff you must have had some of the experiences Leonard had reminds me of looking for alaska or catcher in the Rye which for me is a big compliment.

This was an intersting take on the shoot-out phenomena that is afflicting the US, as it tooka first person narrative style look at preparations for a teenage shooting rampage.

What does Noah Galvin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Noah brought Leonard Peacock and all his insecurities to life in a most brilliant way.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Leonard experiences of abuse by his friend were addressed with sensitivity and care for a touching delicate subject matter.

From start to finish this book hit home with me on various levels. The masterful performance from 'Dear Evan Hansen' star Noah Galvin gave me a further appreciation for a most definitely talented actor. The content of the story and subject matters are inherently tough and taboo but are handled with extreme care and caution in a wildly imaginative but realistic novel depicting the hardships of teenagehood and the limitless creativity of a young mind. I am currently listening to this for the second time after having read it paperback-style last year and listened to it for the first time a bit before that. I can't help but long to read, re-read and re-listen to this, each time offering the same emotional stimulation and captivation as it did the first time.

A truly wonderful novel.
