Loved the voice acting great effort made and easy to follow. The writing is good and felt like an episode of canon. Mal's childhood story was appreciated greatly! As a fan of the series for 15 years I thoroughly enjoyed it.

1st audible book. Glad I chose it. liked the story, it was like being there with the crew, each step of the way.

I didn't like this to start with but after 3-4 hours it picked up a bit and the last few hours were decently compelling.

It does have some problems: To many similies, many of which referenced Earth-That-Was. It was written more like a tv show with audio description than a book, just little things that were described too much or too often. The characters seemed a bit unlike the TV series especially Jayne and River.

On the other hand it was quite fun. The story wasn't bad and it built up quite well over the course of the novel. It did feel like a story in the Firefly verse and it was nice to have a story with these characters in again.

The narration was ok. I struggled quite a bit with the characters' voices sounding absolutely nothing like the TV series but I got over it eventually.

This was a decent bit of fanfiction.

Overall brilliant, but every story with Badger is painful to the point of wanting to self harm and not being able to finish the story....no more Dick Van Dyke please?
