Summary

Kane & Abel for a new generation!!

They had only one thing in common - William Lowell Kane and Abel Rosnovski, one the son of a Boston millionaire, the other a penniless Polish immigrant. Two men born on the same day on opposite sides of the world, their paths were destined to cross in the ruthless struggle to build a fortune.

The marvellous story, spanning 60 years, of two powerful men linked by an all-consuming hatred, brought together by fate to save - and finally destroy - each other.

Superb listen

Absolutely superb listen, couldn't tear myself away from it, the characters are well drawn and the twists and turns of the plot kept me hooked till the end. My only disappointment is that the sequel the prodigal daughter, is only available in an abridged version on audible... Please put this right!!!

I read the book many years ago, and decided to give the audiobook a try - I am glad I did! The narration is excellent, the story line superb. A very enjoyable listen

Can anyone really recommend a better book ?

Breathtaking book.

I read this years ago and always remembered it as my favorite ever.

Many, many books later and once again I found it enthralling

And now some guy actually reads it to me as well .

If you have never read it you really must do

And don't miss the Clifton Chronicles either.

Archer is quite simply the best British story teller of them all.

Kane and Abel is ageless masterpiece

Many years ago my Dad put down a copy of Kane and Abel and said it was one of the best books he'd ever read. I forgot all about it for 30 years until I put down a copy of Kane and Abel and said that was one of the best books I'd ever read. Story telling at its absolute best.

Listen to it!

This is a fantastic book! My only warning is, dont have anything planned to do for a couple of days, because you wont be able to stop listening. My first Archer book but not my last. He should have started out as a writer instead of being a politican. He obviously has more talent for it.

Great book well read

An epic tale of two persons living wildly different lives that only intersect at a few crucial moments.

The real accomplishment of the book is making business dealings exciting, engaging and easily followed.

The book is but never feels long.

Time not to do anything other then listen

I can't believe its 30 years since this book was published. It has not dated at all, I was enthralled listening to it. The story is superb and the excellent narrator made it into a real treat. Loved every moment of the 19 hours listening. what to do with my spare time now?

Brilliant!

I read this many years ago and still have the paperback edition. However looking for something I could really enjoy on long car journeys I came across this audio book. It didn't fail to disappoint. An epic and well written saga!

Rags to Riches

A bit of a mid-range rags to riches story, unrealistic in places, mildly entertaining, easy going, you don't have to think too much. Overall above average, narrator drones on a little.
