You don't have to know anything about cricket to enjoy this marvellous book by Miles Jupp - who is a joy to listen to. One marvels at his nerve in attempting to become a cricket commentator and his insight into the working lives of the journalists is enlightening for him, and the reader.
Would recommend this to anyone.

miles is a funny guy on tv so I gave it a go & was really enjoyably surprised - he narrates very well with a lilting 'easy on the ear's voice. a story that really doesn't sound that engaging really is a captivating listen, especially if you are familiar with him & some members of the England cricket team of the 80s & 90s. Loved it!

It’s not often I will laugh out loud st a book. To do it when driving and have other drivers stare oddly at you was a first

Overall i really did enjoy Miles Jupp's retelling of his exploits in India. Excruciatingly painful at times and decidedly funny at other times, the television equivalent of watching David Brent in The Office, embarrassing and funny all at the same time. I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to his youth and balls, to even think up the hair brain idea in the first place. In the end i thoroughly enjoyed it but was glad it was over too.
