I do have a soft spot for this series. This book furthers the world in which John finds himself, with enemies all around will Sutton Farm survive?
The narrator is good and gives the MC a hard edge but also knows when to round that edge. The world building continues to be grow even getting better as more plots, people and places are introduced. It is good to see the growth of all the characters connected to the MC, especially Ferdi the bull.

only John should get at least one apocalypse point for planing to feed everyone on white flower... and I don't like that ther are always more "reason" the mc can't just melt his enemys
