About this listen

They started the fight. John is going to end it.

Despite John’s best efforts to avoid getting pulled into a war, the Resplendent Empire is determined to crush John and Candle Scholar Tower. No sooner had he returned from the once a millennium magical competition than he discovers that the Empire has declared war, confident that they will be able to roll over John and his allies with little trouble.

Yet little do they know what sort of force they have provoked. No longer a man of two minds, John sets out to end things once and for all. As the Dragon Empress Kalmeric marshals her forces, John puts the lessons he learned on the battlefield all those years ago to work.

Venturing out from his beloved farm, John is intent on making this adventure his last so he can spend the rest of his days sitting on his porch watching his wheat grow next to those he loves.

Culmination is the epic finale of the bestselling Battle Mage Farmer series by Seth Ring, author of Nova Terra. Download today and explore a world whose secrets have been buried under decades of war.

About the Series: Mixing slice-of-life with epic fantasy action, mystery, magic, cultivation, and a broken game system that seems determined to make everything as hard as possible for the already overpowered protagonist, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for listeners who enjoy exploring rich worlds and complex characters.

I’m going to avoid spoilers here and just say I feel like this and book 8 brought the series into a more balanced and coherent direction. Great story development.

Nice work

I have enjoyed this series. I felt the previous book (8) was a bit OTT and this final book a bit of a damp squib. IMO, this series should have ended with book 7.
This book started off well enough but it soon became mundane and boring. It was all about, tying and tidying things up and closures. It sounded like the author ran out of ideas and did not know how to move omnipotent John forward without being repetitive.

Disappointing

I'm giving it a 3 only cos it's too short, btw I fuck your 15 word rule.

amazing.

A disappointing finale to a series I otherwise enjoyed. After a strong opening, the book shifts into a long, drawn-out process of tying off plot threads — but instead of offering satisfying closure, it feels more like housekeeping. The pacing drags, the emotional payoff is muted, and the attempt to tee up crossovers with other series ends up undercutting narrative tension elsewhere. The narration is strong, as always, but even that couldn’t elevate what ended up feeling like a checklist rather than a finale.

Too much closure, not enough story
