About this listen
But none of that will matter if John can’t find a way back to Candle Scholar Tower.
Stranded in the void with Ferdie and Ellie, John has to find a way to get access to the valley, or risk being separated from his farm forever.
Even if he does make it back, he’ll be jumping feetfirst into the fire as he faces down a mysterious religious figure of awe-inspiring power named the Celestial and the six disgruntled Mage Families that support the tower.©2024 Seth Ring (P)2024 Recorded Books

This book was a really fun listen and a good addition to the #BattleMageFarmer series. However, at times it was a little complicated with the terminology used.
The fun and humour was mainly due to the presence of Ferdie - a support character to MC John - as well as Sigvald the electric rooster who is Ellie's pet.
These characters add moments of levity to an otherwise very serious plot line, especially with serious John Sutton around.
The story tended to throw me off from time-to-time, especially with the amount of research that John's tower was required to undertake with regards to the void.
There is a danger that the language is too esoteric at points, even for a veteran #LitRPG reader like me.
The narrator @MichaelKramerVO certainly made a great effort to bring life to this book. However, I feel like there were just too many characters for him to narrate solo.
Would recommend to a friend, colleague, a passer-by doing the robot, a milk maid and the criminally insane.
