Summary

Whether your marriage is feeling the affects of full blown starvation or just suffering from the munchies, this presentation will help you lift your relationship to an entirely new level. With his humorous and energizing presentation style, Matt Townsend will help you and your partner to connect your heads, hearts, hands and hopes. You will learn specific skills and tools that will help you to:

  • Exercise character in your relationship by choosing to keep your head in the "relating brain" instead of the "reactive brain".
  • Improve communication in your relationship by learning to "Get REAL" on difficult issues and to not just keep chasing the smoke.
  • Increase companionship as you both learn to serve your partner the way he or she wants to be served.
  • Ensure commitment as you build a mutual vision and set goals for your future and, more importantly, as you accomplish those goals together.

Thanks for a new way of looking at marriage communication

The ideas in this abridged version opened a new way to look at my own role in communication when I wanted to find fault with my spouse instead of myself. We both understand each other better now.

Glimmer of hope for future restored.

I wish I would have listened to this many years ago but it has given me hope now when I really needed it!

    Wonderful . . . just not enough

Clearly there are some powerful tools suggested here! But it is so sparse that it felt more like an advertisement—leaving me interested and wanting more. For example, Mr. Townsend says that in his coaching with couples he spends many hours discussing “head, heart, and hands,” yet we get only five minutes. It felt more like an outline than a developed set of principles that can be readily utilized (without going to Mr. Townsend for coaching).

    Awesome presentation

I could relate to everything in this audiobook.. real coaching not therapy.
Thank you so very much, I can’t wait to start my future with my husband.

    OK, but not spectacular

Interesting approach, but too abreviated and not a lot of new information in my opinion. If you are looking for a novel approach, try this one.
