Un bel giorno una sardina
a nuotare se ne stava.
Signor polpo se ne accorse,
lesto le si avvicinava.
“Dove vai, mia sardinella?”
Tosto lui le domandò.
Lei, che era molto furba,
senza un fiato lo lasciò.
Ma il polpo si era accorto
che lei s’era dileguata,
e girando per lo scoglio,
ecco che lui l’ha acciuffata.
“Oh, buongiorno! io ti ho detto.”
Signor polpo prese a dire.
La sardina per timore
facea finta a non sentire.
Poi di colpo fece un balzo:
no, parlare non voleva!
Si rimise giù, a nuotare:
già quel polpo conosceva.
Sa che è molto impertinente
e gli piace disturbare.
Come incontra un po’ di gente
non c’è gusto più a nuotare.
Signor polpo è rassegnato:
sulla roccia si sdraiò,
e stringendo le otto zampe
ecco che si addormentò.
Lui lo sa che è un po’ scocciante,
che sta tutti a disturbare.
Le parole sono tante,
impedisce di nuotare....
