Summary

It's been years since the members of the Sisterhood first banded together, with the help of their mentor, Charles Martin, to exact their own form of justice on those whose crimes had gone unpunished by the legal system. Now, back in the United States after an enforced exile, and ensconced in a new home on Big Pine Mountain in North Carolina, Myra, Kathryn, Annie, Alexis, Isabelle, Yoko, and Nikki are breathing easy at last - but not for long.

One dark night, under cover of a vicious storm, a helicopter lands on their mountain. The Sisters aren't about to wait to be ambushed. Braving the storm, they set out to greet their guests, only to be told by Charles that the mysterious visitors are the Sisterhood's new employers, and they've got a dangerous new assignment in mind.

The task they face is daunting. If they succeed, the Sisterhood will be rewarded beyond their wildest dreams. If they fail, they'll forfeit much more than a paycheck. But if the Ladies of Pinewood have learned one thing over the course of their adventures, it's that when friends band together, miracles can happen...

Pajama Party

75% of this book was just the sisters giggling and laughing, and drinking wine.

There was no suspense or mystery to the book, just the author's willingness to describe, in great detail, the punishment they want to inflict on men's bodies. They also enjoyed reliving the past punishments. Trash talk at it's worst.

I believe you could pass this one over, and not miss a thing...

Chaotic and erratic

Would you ever listen to anything by Fern Michaels again?

This was my first book by Fern Michaels and I am not tempted to read any other. The book starts interestingly enough but it soon becomes absurd, there is no real storyline, no thrill or mystery, no depth. No character is strongly constructed and the end is soooo absurd and simplistic!!!A true disappointment.

Revenge

Yawn. Mostly a bore. Stock characters and predictable plot. I should have known better.

Still the best!

Fast Track by Fern Michaels is Book 10 in The Sisterhood series. I love these audiobooks so much! These are the only books I've read by Fern Michaels. I've listened to them all up to this point starting with Book 1, which I recommend you do if you are new to the series. The storyline is fast-paced, the characterization is strong, and the narration is excellent! It's my favorite series, and I plan to buy the next audiobook right after I post this review. I rate Fast Track 4.3/5 stars.

Thank you for reading my review. Happy listening! :-)

Senior power!

I love the way senior citizens are portrayed with such insight in this book. From their being able to plan and orchestrate the mission to their doubts that the younger women don’t think them capable of performing. They question whether or not their age will permit them to accomplish the deed. Myra, Annie and Charles rise to the occasion and outperform the stereotypes time and time again.

Enjoyed the book, the reading voice fit the characters. Do not like to be told the number of words you want!

Good, but not GREAT

Would you consider the audio edition of Fast Track to be better than the print version?

I like all the books in the Sisterhood Series - this seems to be a dud, not as much excitement as in past books. But still a GOOD read.
