Summary

The Sisterhood: a group of women from all walks of life bound by friendship and a quest for justice. Armed with vast resources, top-notch expertise, and a loyal network of allies around the globe, the Sisterhood will not rest until every wrong is made right.

Through all their missions and adventures, the tightknit group of friends who make up the Sisterhood have learned one vital lesson: everybody has a weak spot. In the case of Yoko Wong's dear friend Garland Lee, the multimillion-selling performer known as America's beloved songbird, that weak spot was trusting her lawyer, Arthur Forrester. For years, he's taken advantage of her faith in him to amass a secret fortune. And now, in the deepest betrayal yet, he's dragged her into a lawsuit that could cost her home and everything she has left.

The Sisterhood know they can't let that happen. Forrester has some of the country's top judges in his pocket, and a list of influential and ruthless friends - not to mention knowledge of all the ways the law can be corrupted to work in his favor. But he doesn't have the Vigilantes' deep-seated loyalty and determination. And all his years of underhanded dealings won't prepare him for the type of creative payback that the Sisters have made their specialty....

Narration

Per usual outstanding storyline; however, voice of narrators did not truly represent the strength of the characters. Annie and Myra in particular sounded way too old.
Narrations should have voice of strength for these weekend warriors.

Another great hit

In my opinion you can get much better entertainment than one of Fern Michaels sisterhood books. This also applies to her men of the sisterhood series. I have read and listened to them all and they are always a huge hit with me. So enjoy and happy reading.

Go Ladies!

This book was certainly unexpected and full of twists and turns that were true!y surprising! Fern Michaels never fails to make me anxious for the next book!
Delaware kept being mentioned as where the men were on a mission. Since that is where I live I am most anxious for that book to appear in the men of the Sisterhood!

Disappointed

This is the first time I didn't like the Sisterhood. They were childish and acted like spoiled brats. They showed such contempt for Charles and Fergus that I don't understand why they stick around.

Story fun, but the Elder women were annoying

For the first time, I found myself very annoyed with both Myra and Annie, mainly because of their attitude towards Avery Snowden. Given they no longer include the men in their adventures, the comments were simply ridiculous. They needed a reality check, and the girls should have stepped up to give them one, especially Maggie who works on the boys missions.

Either stop the Men of the Sisterhood series (which are enjoyable), or have the men rejoin the women. In addition, Snowden didn't leave them hanging as he has other operatives working on their case. I sure hope the next book isn't as annoying in this regards. If it is, I will promptly return it.

Overall, the book was just ok. I found myself wanting it to end sooner.

Update: If the men don't rejoin the Sisterhood series, unfortunately this will be my last but for this series. I am canceling my pre-order. Still need to check out the latest 'Men of' book.

Not Fern's Best

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I love Fern Michael's Sisterhood series, but this storyline was not her best.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

so-so

Would you listen to another book narrated by Laurel Merlington?

Yes, she did a great job.

Could you see Need to Know being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

no
