Reinventing the rules for a smarter, happier life.

Flex is a creative, rebellious way to live. It’s about looking at routines (like the nine to five) and social norms (like women bearing the brunt of the ‘emotional load’ at home) and bending and re-shaping them.

Flex is looking within and understanding yourself, your body and the patterns of your relationships and working out how to live, earn money and be happy in a way that is perfect for you and your unique talents.

Flex is knowing that the world is changing fast. The jobs we were trained for in school won’t exist in a decade. The career ladder has been replaced with the portfolio. If you feel stuck, tired, not at your best, bored...this book is for you.

If you are burning with ideas but stuck in an environment that squashes them...this book is for you.If you are a rebel at heart...this book is for you.

Flex is reinventing the rules for a smarter, happier future.

An excellent listen

This book really resonated with me. I loved Annie's style of expressing herself, very down to earth and funny but with some really useful and thought-provoking advice. I always prefer it if the author reads their own work and in this case even more so. Her voice is very easy to listen to and she reads very naturally, like talking to a friend. I have now ordered the hardback version so I can refer back more easily.

Of its time, and a practical guide to the world of work that’s coming

Really enjoyed this book! It’s pretty succinct for an audiobook which made it even more enjoyable. Annie hits the nail on the head about purposefully designing a life you want to live with a flexible approach to work at the heart of it.

Pointless book

Pretty disappointed. Very pointless book. Kept mentioning flex and a few random anecdotes. Very short. Don't waste a credit like I did.

OK for starting out

If you are just starting out in your career or thinking about making the pivot to self-employed, you will find this encouraging. If you have been self-employed for a while and you are struggling or having doubts, also useful. I have been flexing since before it had a name so nice to see people are catching on.
