This is a great book for someone who is just getting into essential oils. There is a lot of good info to get you started and also some recipes to make your own mixes.

There are so many easy recipes in this book that can replace the chemicals we're used to using. Even one for polishing cabinets. As a parrot owner I can't use toxic chemicals. I never knew that alternatives were so easy!

Although a book for “beginners,” this is a very informative and helpful guide. The book is split into two parts, with the first part giving the history of essential oils. It tells of the various uses of oils in history and gives a very interesting back story. Its a great introduction for anyone on the topic of essential oils, especially with it’s FAQ section.

At the very least this book gives the listener a very good base understanding of a wide range of oils, their origins, properties, uses and etc for the clueless. I am looking to create some Christmas baskets with soaps, creams, melts and lotions for my family. This book gave me even more ideas for additional items that I can add to them.
