Short, sharp fun and different.
I couldn't quite face another full on zombie story quite yet but this was something fresh and new which kept me listening over Easter.
It could very easily have been a 20 hour marathon covering every detail, instead it was just a simple zombie story revolving around a mystery in a large manor house.
Just enough zombie action for fans and some good writing to keep you listening. Each part of the story has enough story to keep you listening and wanting to know more.
I am tending to prefer this tighter less baggy chapter setup rather than a epic novels.
I would recommend this to any zombie fans who want something different. If you are a die hard gore fan, then stay well away. This is PG.

Passable but forgettable
In the start of 2018 I decided to take up running as part of my fitness regime. So far Ive done five race, two of them half marathons.
During times where I ran to work or just a general run I got bored of just a playlist and a app that tracked my time and speed.
Then I stumbled on zombies run. A free app that brought immerse theatre to the mix. Making you the hero of a world where George romeo and monty phyon had a baby.
The app made my runs more fun ever running from the undead.
When listening to this audio drama I wondered how could they mix this world in a agetha Christie style murder mystery. Well the two don't really mix well.
The main problem with cheesy zombie story is the lack of zombies. They mostly outside and seem more of a annoyance than part of the world. The murder mystery plays out without much interaction with the undead horror.
It was an interesting story and well performed.
The self aware nature of the play does provide a smile, especially with Sam who appears in the first and final episodes. He's really the only link to the universe.
If this is set in the zombie run universe, I would have like more easter eggs or references than just a radio transmission from Sam and our characters hailing from able township.
If you want a story to kill a couple hours with something cheesy, you may like this.
If you were hoping to expland the lore of the game, you may be better opting for some the races six to start are hosting. Including the 10k virtual run happening next week.
