Summary

On a sullen July day, ten years on from the terrorist attacks of 7/7, a confident and optimistic British Prime Minister is attending a charity engagement in the East End of London. Suddenly, a man appears from the crowd and shoots him three times in the chest.

So starts this sensational thriller from best-selling novelist and screenwriter, M J Arlidge (BBC's Prime Suspect, the DI Helen Grace novels).

Interesting

I started not sure if I would like this type of audio book and I loved it. Great performance for all the narrators, the voices went so well with the image in my mind and the story really surprised me to the end. Definitely a recommendation from me

I will surely get more of MJ Arlidge and thanks to the Narrators also

Exciting beginning

Really enjoyed the first episode. The performance was so good you could imagine it was actually happening and you had a bird's-eye view . Looking forward to the continuation.

loved it !

Sam Goldwyn once said you should start with a earthquake and build to a climax.
The political thriller here does just this. It races off from the start and never let's up for a second. I just could not wait for the next episode.

Yes it is littered with cliches but who cares. And the characters were a little thin - but what a page turner. It won't be on any erudite shelf but for entertainment it is 100%.
It is wonderfully acted and great production (just a tad too much background throbbing music?).

I listened to Audible when I run. This free book got me out running everyday. Loved every moment _ more please audible.

Edge of seat stuff

I’m supposed to be doing something but can’t stop listening to this, infact, cancel all my meetings, I’m going to do it in a ONER!

Hard to get beyond the poor script

Good pacy Story with plenty of twists and turns. But A Cliche ridden script And a lot of wooden performances. Good production values

An addictive and thrilling listen

Great actors, a brilliant story and more twists and turns than a bowl of spaghetti. Brilliant, I hope there's more like this to come

Great cast, mixed delivery

Must say, as a fan of spy and conspiracy books and saw the cast, I had high hopes. Sadly the production just didn’t live up to it.
