About this listen

On a sullen July day, ten years on from the terrorist attacks of 7/7, a confident and optimistic British Prime Minister is attending a charity engagement in the East End of London. Suddenly, a man appears from the crowd and shoots him three times in the chest.

So starts this sensational thriller from best-selling novelist and screenwriter, M J Arlidge (BBC's Prime Suspect, the DI Helen Grace novels).

From the first half of the first episode, the eventual killer was easy to predict. But that said, the story was well performed, written well and was interesting enough to keep you listening. A fab freebie from Audible - thank you

Predictable but enjoyable

This is alright for a free audiobook but parts are predictable. The characters were narrated well and the background noise helped to set the scene well.

Bit predictable

I’m supposed to be doing something but can’t stop listening to this, infact, cancel all my meetings, I’m going to do it in a ONER!

Edge of seat stuff

Must say, as a fan of spy and conspiracy books and saw the cast, I had high hopes. Sadly the production just didn’t live up to it.

Great cast, mixed delivery
