About this listen

This is the first three books in this six book series.

In a world where magic is real, Alex is about to learn that being shot in the head was only the beginning. God has given him a choice: to take the life of the person meant to die that day and forget who he was, or to keep being Alex and transition to a world of magic where God would give him the tools to survive. Alex, an avid fan of fantasy, chooses the latter and is thrown through a black portal into a world he never could have imagined.

Once there, he discovers that he has the ability to wield all five Elemental magics: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Mind. But the power is changing him, and he is quickly learning that his title as "The Elemental Summoner" is feared by everyone in the world of Boromour. Every thousand years, an Elemental Summoner is born who can wield all five Elemental magics and usually ends up destroying everything around them in their quest for power. Alex must learn to control his powers before it's too late.

As he navigates this new world, Alex meets sexy, powerful monster girls who may be able to help him control his power and keep him from becoming evil. But as he learns more about Boromour and the dangers that come with his powers, he realizes that the stakes are higher than he could have ever imagined.

This blockbuster series is full of adventure, magic, mayhem, and monster girls with fluffy tails. Will Alex be able to harness his power and save the world of Boromour, or will he succumb to the same fate as his predecessors?

This series contains the unabridged text, mayhem, monster girls, fluffy tails, and just plain lots of magic.

I haven't finished this yet, but love what I've read so far. but I had to make a note because this is constructive criticism from someone who is genuinely enjoying the book.

I've noticed that at times so far, it has repeated exposition or even lines at various points in the book, as if the author forgot he had already said it. like he said "I love you." at one point to a certain character and then when he says it again later, she says it's the first time he says it. or making the same discoveries twice.

I'm not complaining as it does act as a reminder in case someone forgets, and personally, as someone with ADHD, I do this stuff all the time. definitely not complaining as I think this maybe a series I binge for a while. :)

When I was writing (unreleased and unfinished book due to it being cursed! 🤣) I had to make many notes before hand and reread the book from various points before writing to avoid this. just food for thought for any future books if it helps. I found it allowed me to avoid repeating the same thing, keeps continuity in check and even deepen the world around the characters.

but again, I kinda love this series and it's not often I want to see a war break out because the attitude of a certain species needs fixing, even if it means burning it down and starting over. 🤣 the world is deep and the twists and depth of its systems (not literal systems, but the way aspects of it work) and how far it goes is interesting. I see great things for this series, and massive potential in the author for this and any other series as he discovers or comes up with new ideas, styles and his descriptive power.

can't say the mix between the sex scenes and the voice work too well, but then so far I haven't found an audiobook that does it well imo. but that's a personal thing for me, and might not apply to others.

regardless of what I said, I recommend this book. it is awesome and other than what I've mentioned so far, it would be a solid 5 stars. great characters, deep and interesting world. good tension and plot and has a lot of potential for where it goes with it. and it does what all good isekai series do. makes me want to go to that world. :)

I haven't finished the book yet...

reviewing now cos there are quite a few inconsistencies in this book like Leo casting a fire arrow instead of a water arrow when Tia was attacking the ship

There are many ways to progress a story without making your mc dumb af, I feel that the author has written a pretty average trope filled arc but I only got through it because I listen to audio books while doing mundane work to occupy my mind. Helped pass the time well enough but a more skilled progression could have easily been crafted given some proof reading and shifting event prompts.

Writing this with 7hr left on the books 1-3 omnibus, its fine to pass the time if your doing something else but not if the book is your single focus. Having listened/read many lit rpg/fantasy novels at this point, there are authors that rely on 'dumb' story progression and others who can frame continuity based on logical events that don't cause being the person being isekai'ed, to lose most of their brain cells.

Oh yeah and the author overuses the the F word too much and needed to cut down e.g You cast Fire Arrow repeated multiple times to just, "You cast Fire...Arrow x7, costing 70 Mana points", its really annoying and the padding is not necessary.

I will be getting the second Omnibus, its fine and worth the credit, Just get use to, You cast Water Bullet costing 10 mana, You cast Water Bullet costing 10 mana, You cast Water Bullet costing 10 mana, You cast Water Bullet costing 10 mana, You cast Water Bullet costing 10 mana, You cast Water Bullet costing 10 mana... ... ...

Needs the Tagline, 'Smart to Dumb'.
