About this listen

AN EPIC STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE NOVELLA FROM THE INTERNATIONAL PHENOMENON BEHIND THE COSMERE

Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older--a wish she believed was granted.

Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers.

The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility.

The title is the best compliment I can give. I'm always wary of novellas, as sometimes the can feel like padding, or just an authors author's indulgence.

Not here. Really good.

Thanks again Mr Sanderson.

Excellent. Lives up to the main series.

Brilliant little short story, definitely worth it's credit. If you love the Stormlight Archive, then it's well worth a read and though not mandatory reading for the story itself.
Still an excellent read and serves it's purpose of filling in gaps and giving lift some more much deserved screen time! and it does that well!

Worth it's credit!

more light hearted than other stormlight books. with only one view point character it feels faster passed as well.

good story

I originally thought this would be just the content from book 2 (didn't actually look at the book's duration) and am pleased that it was actually an entire journey. I love her character and the interaction with her spren and the other characters, espicially the authority figures and "darkness". I do hope to see more of her in the main books and most likely she would meet the others since they all have powers.

amazing performance as always from the narrator!

Lyft is my favourite!!

As an avid Sanderson fan, I expect a lot from each book.

I was not enthralled by EdgeDancer in the same way as the other Stormlight books.

An epic mission with interweaving character story-lines was missing. It felt like more like a precursor to a classic story, a exploration of single character by the author to feed the creative process. For character building and as an interesting aside to the main storm light epic story, it was worth reading.

For an entertaining fix of the epic journeys with characters fighting for continued existence of their world, it is a disappointment.

So worth a read if you are a fan but as an aside rather than a great story in it's own right.
