This book interested me as I did not know much about the modern history of the Tibetan people and how they came to exist under the yoke of the chinese communist party. I can’t recommend it highly enough. An incredibly well written account of the history, the politics and the people, it expertly threads the lived experiences of real people with the broader political, social and economic themes.

The narration was top drawer as well, I simply cannot fault this audiobook.
